GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation said last week it has set July 7-11 as the dates for its sponsorship of a special CU week at Victory Junction Gang Camp in Randleman with top CU executives signing up as volunteers to man food lines and help in children's programming and recreation.

"Our sponsorship comes during Spina Bifida Week in which credit unions in North and South Carolina will be asked to provide funding and volunteers for the camp," said John Slack, executive director of CCUF.

Credit unions have long been "strong supporters of Victory Junction, and we think this is something that people across the Carolinas will get very excited about," said Slack citing the $1.6 million raised from 2003-2006.
