ARLINGTON, Va. — NASCUS President/CEO Mary Martha Fortney has said the data collection process for the state chartered credit unions is taking longer than initially anticipated, but is moving toward the finish line.

"We're about 80% done with the credit unions in the sample," she said. The regulators just had their quarterly conference call where the subject was brought up and the report writing task force is in talks.

Fortney added, "We have briefed the committee and let them know we're still working on it." She said the regulators are going to great pains to ensure it is an accurate reflection of the state system. "We want to have the report as complete as possible."
