LOWELL, Mass. — To help its employees receive extra training in leadership and management skills, project management, process improvement, sales and time management, Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union recently received a grant from the state for $138,355.

Ten Massachusetts companies received their share of $1 million in workforce training grants from the state's Department of Workforce Development.

The $623 million CU said it plans to use the grant money to train 125 employees. Training is scheduled to begin this month and run for 18 months.
