WASHINGTON — Art from an art collective in one of the underserved areas that is part of its field of membership will decorate the walls of one of HEW Federal Credit Union's branches.
The $122 million HEW Federal Credit Union has partnered with the Ward 7 Arts Collaborative, an artist collective from one of Washington, D.C.'s poorest areas, to exhibit artwork produced by local artists in celebration of Black History.
The exhibit, Black History: a Celebration of the Arts, will kick off with a free event on Feb. 26. The art chosen will come from artists at all levels of experience, students, emerging artists and professionals and will include art prints, canvas art, figurines, sculptures and photography.
