WASHINGTON — The 35th Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run will take place on April 1 this year. More than 10,000 competitors, including more than 500 congressmen and Capitol Hill staffers are registered to participate. To date, 130 credit unions and partner organizations from across the U.S. have pledged support for the event, which benefits Children's Miracle Network. Credit Union Miracle Day, Inc., the force behind the branding of the run, has set this year's fundraising goal at $1 million. The funds will go to provide charitable care to patients of the 170 affiliated children's hospitals throughout North America. There is still time to get involved and participate in Children's Miracle Day and the Cherry Blossom Run.
