WASHINGTON — Time is ticking away for both speakers and attendees to sign up to participate in CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference Feb. 25-28.
The most recent speaker invitee to accept was House Republican Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.). The whip is charged with getting party members in line on issues and is the second highest ranking Republican in the House.
Attendance was on track with last year's at press time, leaving CUNA to expect about 4,000 people to show up. This will be the last GAC held at the Washington Hilton & Towers as the event has outgrown the space. The 2008 GAC will be held at the Washington Convention Center.
