SAN ANTONIO — Firstmark Credit Union is joining a growing number of credit unions across the county adding Health Savings Accounts to their products and services.
The new offering is designed to help provide members more options in meeting their health care needs. For added member convenience the accounts include debit card access.
"Firstmark Credit Union is the first credit union in San Antonio to offer this type of account combined with the convenience of debit card access. Our HSA gives members a better choice in the way they save to meet their health care needs," said Firstmark Vice President of Marketing Brenda Moczygemba.

HSAs are tax-free savings accounts that can be used to pay for medical expenses including prescription and over the counter drugs incurred by individuals, spouses or dependents. These accounts are accompanied by high-deductible comprehensive insurance policies that cover preventive care and larger medical bills. Unused HSA money rolls over from year to year and can then be used to pay for medical care up to the plan's deductible.
