ARLINGTON, Va. — Two officers have been elected to NASCUS' Credit Union Advisory Council Board.
J. Parker Cann, president/CEO of Columbia Credit Union in Vancouver, Wash., will serve as chair-elect and Catherine Tierney, president of Community First Credit Union in Appleton, Wis., was elected to the secretary post. Twelve state credit union executives from across the country make up the Credit Union Advisory Council Board.
Cann has served on the board for two years and as president/CEO of Columbia Credit Union since May 2005. Tierney, a Credit Union Advisory Council board director since 2003, has led Community First Credit Union as its president since 1994. Cann previously served as secretary.

Mendell Thompson, president/CEO of America's Christian Credit Union in Glendora, Calif., was installed as NASCUS Credit Union Advisory Council chairman in December, following the retirement of chairman Jo Anne Fillwock, formerly of Option 1 Credit Union in Lansing, Mich.
