CHATSWORTH, Calif. — The San Fernando Valley Business Journal has named Matadors Community Credit Union Vice President of Marketing Marnie Nemcoff a "40 Under 40″ award recipient.

For the fourth year in a row, the Business Journal is recognizing 40 young business professionals in the San Fernando Valley area, all under the age of 40. "We are all very excited and proud that Marnie has received this award," said Matadors Community CU President/CEO Dale Verderano. "She is a hard worker and very dedicated person, and always aims to give maximum effort to whatever she is working on." After getting her start in the banking industry in 1989, Nemcoff left Coast Federal Bank for the credit union industry in 1997. Since then, she has worked in a marketing capacity at three credit unions and joined Matadors Community CU in 2003. A strong believer in financial literacy and helping the community, especially children, learn the value of saving money and good money management, Nemcoff is a member of the Advisory Group for California Jump$tart Coalition, a not-for-profit coalition whose mission is to improve the financial literacy of today's youth. Also very involved in the business community, she is an Ambassador for the North Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce.
