WASHINGTON — In line with a recommendation from its Renewal Review Committee, CUNA members voted "overwhelmingly" in favor of a bylaw to add the chair of the Association of Corporate Credit Unions to CUNA's Board as a non-voting, ex officio member. CUNA reported in its online News Now news that ACCU Chairman Bob Siravo will join the CUNA Board of Directors at the February meeting in Washington, D.C. during CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference. "It's very exciting. We're grateful to CUNA and its members for adding the ACCU seat," said Siravo. The ACCU became an associate member of CUNA in 2001 following a previous bylaw amendment. Since then, corporate credit unions have served on committees, but were not permitted board representation. The Renewal Review Committee reviews CUNA bylaws every five years following Renewal, instituted by President/CEO Dan Mica now 10 years ago.
