"It's our desire to make sure we meet all of our members' needs, we want to take this seriously and make sure we have local people," said Terry Aegis, vice president of business development for WesCorp. WesCorp now has reps in Florida, Memphis, North Carolina, and the Rocky Mountain region. It is searching for a rep in the Midwest area.

In other news from WesCorp, it will host the Women's Leadership Conference Jan. 25-26 at its headquarters in San Dimas, Calif. It is designed specifically for women in credit union leadership positions, who are striving to become better leaders.

WesCorp Director of Public Relations Sheri Ledbetter noted that the conference is not exclusively for women, but will focus on women leadership issues, such as leadership strengths and weaknesses. She noted that women tend to be less vocal than men in promoting their achievements that could help them get ahead. Women also tend to be stronger at developing relationships. Ledbetter said the conference is designed to be hands on.

"Everyone who signs up gets a personality test that you complete before you arrive, to work through to see what kind of person you are, what your strengths are. So this is not just about listening to speeches," said Ledbetter.
