ALEXANDRIA, Va. — John E. Kutchey has been named NCUA's new director of risk management, NCUA announced.
In this new post, Kutchey is responsible for overseeing NCUA's credit union problem resolution program. He has served in a variety of capacities while at NCUA, starting as an examiner in 1990 to most recently the director of supervision in Region II. Kutchey has also completed numerous details including most recently as the acting associate regional director–operations in Region V and as the acting director of insurance in Region II. He completed NCUA's Executive Development Program in 2004, and has earned several awards, including the Region II Supervisor of the Year in 2003.
Prior to joining NCUA, Kutchey worked in the credit union industry as a consultant and in various operational and management positions.
