ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The sixth annual Firefighters' National Credit Union Summit is scheduled for Albuquerque, N.M., from October 10-13, 2007.
According to Conference Manager Linda Bikoff, next year's attendees will have an extra bonus as the summit coincides with the International Hot Air Balloon festival.
Designed to give firefighter CU officials the opportunity to network and share experiences, the conference program features issues of interest unique to firefighter CUs.

The summit this past October received the highest attendee rating in its five-year history–over 120 credit union officials and guests including CEOs from 22 of the 24 credit unions participating in the event.
Conference Manager Bill Rogers, said, "Attendees rated the program a 4.65 out of 5. I don't know how we can top this next year, but I suspect we will, based on feedback from participants. Most said they will be back."
Sixteen credit union suppliers served as sponsors of this year's program.
"Our sponsors contributed a great deal to the success of the program. A number of these also served as program moderators," said Bikoff. Sponsors were featured in a promotional video broadcast to all hotel rooms 24 hours a day throughout the conference.
"We sponsor a contest to encourage attendees to tune in during their down time. More than 30% of attendees viewed the program. The video marketing support allows sponsors added exposure to promote their products and services," added Rogers.
