ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Dynamic Card Solutions, the firm that provides credit unions with the ability to instantly issue debit and credit cards as well as issue personal identification numbers, has partnered with a CU that is taking this ability overseas.

The $1 billion Service Credit Union, headquartered in Portsmouth, N.H., has contracted with DCS to offer instant issuance to its members in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Germany, DCS announced.

"As we evaluated instant issue providers, faster cross-sell capability and integration with our existing systems were critical," said Paul Meade, vice president in charge of Internet banking for Service Credit Union.

"We chose Dynamic Card Solutions' instant issue technology for these reasons plus its user-friendly process. We've found that DCS' CardWizard system works much faster than our previous vendor, cutting the instant issue process by several minutes, while minimizing the possibilities for data entry errors because CardWizard seamlessly integrates into our host application and updates our network automatically. Additionally, the overall security and reporting systems are superior."

Since implementing the instant issue technology, the credit union has experienced a steady increase in card activation and usage, DCS said. Instant issuance allows Service Credit Union to issue plastic cards on-the-spot instead of requiring members to wait an average of two weeks to receive it in the mail. The credit union can issue cards to members who open new accounts; those needing cards immediately for travel; or for replacement when cards have been lost, stolen, compromised or damaged.
