WESTBROOK, Maine -- The Maine Credit Union League is happy withthe results at the ballot box from Election Day 2006. Aftereverything was tallied up, Senator Olympia Snowe (R) handily wonre-election. She serves as chair of the Small Business andEntrepreneurship Committee. In the House, the league endorsed thestate's two incumbent Congressmen Mike Michaud (D) and Tom Allen(D) who both won by wide margins. The league also won at the statelevel, helping nudge Governor John Baldacci (D) to a re-electionvictory.
|Nearly all (94%) of the state legislature candidates the leagueendorsed won their races.
