FORT WORTH, Texas — Unity One Federal Credit Union Vice President of Marketing Greg Barnes has been named the Marketer of the Year by the Texas Credit Union League. The Marketer of the Year Award is sponsored by the Texas Credit Union League to recognize outstanding work in credit union marketing and communications. A three- to five-member panel of out-of-state judges selects the winner, and the award is presented each year at the annual TCUL Marketing Conference. Also walking away with some top honors is San Antonio-based Firstmark Credit Union. The over $598 million credit union received four first-place Lone Star marketing awards. Firstmark CU received First Place Awards for a series of billboards highlighting products and rates; a logo used by the credit union internally; its 2005 Annual Report and its Fiesta pin. An Award of Merit was also earned for a money market direct mail piece and the credit union's convention booth displays.
