SALT LAKE CITY — Mountain America Credit Union has given the Utah Jump$tart Coalition's youth financial literacy efforts a boost with a recent donation of $10,000.
According to Utah Jump$tart Coalition Chairman Lynn Rowe, the donation is the largest ever given to the organization.
Gearing up for its fourth annual Teacher Summit on October 20th, the Utah Jump$tart Coalition sent a petition for funding via the Utah League of Credit Unions.

"It doesn't surprise me that Mountain America responded to the request with a $10,000 check," said Jodi Jones, Mountain America PR officer and Utah Jump$tart Coalition board member. "Mountain America has been an advocate for personal financial literacy for as long as I can remember."
The credit union offers on site financial presentations for its employee groups and branch seminars for its members and the public. In addition, the MACU Educational Services Department visits classrooms throughout the state to teach students about checking account management, identity theft protection, credit basics and more.
The Utah Jump$tart Coalition seeks to improve the financial literacy of Utah's youth.
