RALEIGH, N.C. — Nearly 750 persons attended two retirement planning sessions hosted by Coastal Federal Credit Union in March, and the $1.5 billion CU is hoping that its upcoming "Food for Thought" financial seminars will garner just as large a turnout. The seminars are for anyone interested in getting a head start on their financial future, or simply making sense of their current financial situation, according to Coastal Trust and Investments, the CU's subsidiary. A professional financial advisor will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about each topic during the free sessions, which are open to members and the general public. A session on employee transitions took place on Sept. 19, with another scheduled for Sept. 27. Other sessions on estate planning, retirement planning and income for life, and women and investing will also take place throughout the remainder of September and October.
