FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — With another election season coming Woodstone Credit Union is doing its part to support voter registration efforts. The credit union has launched "C.U. at the Polls", an in-branch voter registration program offered by participating credit unions across the state that makes registering to vote convenient and easy. Mail-in voter registration applications are available at both Woodstone CU branches in Federal Way. According to Woodstone CU execs, voter registration is the first step in increasing public awareness and involvement in government on both a local and national level. Promotional materials urge members to sign up to vote "because elections affect your community, pocketbook and educational system. Even if particular issues aren't on the ballot, you're voting for lawmakers who will affect your future rights. Voting is part of being a smart consumer. Don't give up the important chance to make a difference." Voters in Washington State must be registered to vote by August 19th to vote in the Primary on September 19 and by October 7 to vote in the General Election on November 7.
