TUCSON, Ariz. — DM Federal Credit Union has changed its name to Vantage West Credit Union in conjunction with the CU's change from a federal to state charter.

The $862 million credit union's field of membership has been expanded to include anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or attends school in Pima or Pinal County, or in designated zip codes in the greater Phoenix area, as well as business and legal entities located in these areas. According to President/CEO Robert D. Ramirez, "The charter change is a strategic move which will result in the continuation of the great tradition of providing our membership with everything they've come to expect from their credit union…and more." He added, "The name change will help alleviate prior misconceptions about who is actually eligible to join the credit union. Under the previous name, oftentimes, people weren't aware that being affiliated with Davis Monthan Air Force Base is just one of the many ways to meet eligibility requirements."

With the exception of the new name and logo, which will be phased in over the next several months, the transition will be virtually seamless to members of the credit union, Vantage West said. All service will continue uninterrupted, all staff will remain in place and all branch offices will remain open.
