ALEXANDRIA, Va. — NCUA Board Member Gigi Hyland and SeniorPolicy Advisor Gary Kohn participated in the fourth episode of afree credit union issues podcast hosted by a conglomerate of creditunion lawyers.

“Podcast technology is a great way to reach out to a widersegment of the credit union system and the public,” Hylandcommented. “We discussed issues ranging from Bank Secrecy Actcompliance to strategic issues facing the credit union system. Theformat is fairly informal, but filled with valuable discussion,debate and insight from four very experienced, knowledgeable creditunion attorneys. It was a pleasure to participate.”

During her remarks, Hyland discussed the revised FFIEC's BankSecrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Examination Manual. She describedthe manual as more user-friendly and providing a better road-mapfor performing a risk assessment on their BSA/AML compliance.
