ST. LOUIS — Reinforcing one of the tenets of the credit union movement–volunteering–two board members and one member of the African-American Credit Union Coalition were recently tapped to serve at several industry organizations. Eunice Johnson Rogers is the new chairman of the board for the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions. Rogers is co-founder and CEO/treasurer of the NRS Community Development Federal Credit Union. Michael Hale has been appointed to serve on the National Credit Union Museum Board. The board is planning the Credit Union Movement's Centennial in 2008 in Manchester, N.H. Hale is president/CEO of Andrews Federal Credit Union. Helen Godfrey-Smith has been appointed to the executive committee of the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions. Godfrey-Smith is chair of the federation's education and training committee and she also serves on the government affairs committee. She is president/CEO of Shreveport Federal Credit Union.
