Using readers the CUs must purchase from Intelli-Check, participating CUs will be able to verify the information carried on a driver's license or other form of identification and will be provided a series of questions they can then use to verify the identity of the member or prospective member.
"The FSCC Operations Advisory Committee gave us a mandate to find an automated solution to help FSCC credit unions in identifying the person presenting the identification document. This technology from Intelli-Check allows credit unions to simultaneously authenticate the identity documents and assess the identity risk of individuals seeking to perform financial transactions or to open new accounts," commented Bonnie Kramer, chief operating officer with FSCC.
