DETROIT – Michigan First Credit Union has turned its 80th into a weeklong event to thank members for their loyalty.

With an eye on creating events that cater to all its members, a MoneyKids Fun Day kicked off the Member Appreciation Week. Over 80 MoneyKids members had fun jumping in a bouncehouse, striking a pose with MoneyKids dinosaur mascot Maxamillion and receiving giveaways like t-shirts, gift bags, and prizes.

Michigan First was also the main sponsor of the Southfield Lathrup High School All Night Grad Party held for nearly 300 graduating seniors. Held at the school, graduates enjoyed a night of music, entertainment, food, games, gifts and prizes.

Branches all featured a “Spin the Wheel” promotion where members who conducted transactions at specific times received tickets for an opportunity to spin the wheel for chances to win prizes, logo items, loan discounts or CD specials.

Members also learned the latest fraud scams and how to prevent identity theft while attending a free seminar at Greater Grace Temple & Conference Center in Detroit.

The 75 seminar attendees had their own chances to win gift cards, logo items and cross-cut shredders.

A Member Appreciation Luncheon held at the Burton Manor in Livonia wrapped up the weeklong festivities. Over 200 members and their guests were treated to a plated lunch, open bar, souvenir photos and logo items. The credit union even tapped national recording artist Kimmie Horne for entertainment. Over $1,500 in gift cards was handed out throughout the afternoon.
