NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Once again the Michigan Credit Union League has been singled out for excellence at CUNA's Pro and Blockbuster Awards. In the Blockbuster category, for best league advertising program, MCUL received the "Best of Show" award for the Michigan Credit Union Brand Campaign and first place for the Best Credit Union Advertising Campaign (budget more than $10,000). In the Pro Award category for best league publications and public relations programs, the MCUL garnered a first place award in Blow Your Own Horn for the MCUL Membership Drive; first place and an honorable mention in Best Publication – Newsletter (large budget) for two entries of Michigan Monitor; and an honorable mention in Best Publication – Magazine (large budget) for Contact Magazine. The awards for Monitor and Contact mark the 23rd consecutive year that MCUL's publications have been recognized for excellence in CUNA's national competition. "These awards represent a great achievement for both the Michigan League and all its member credit unions," said MCUL President/CEO David Adams. "The MCUL has always taken pride in its role of providing a catalyst for cooperation, and it's gratifying to see this affirmed in this national competition."
