MONTGOMERY, Ala. - When Mayor Bobby Bright declared July 10th asBaseball Day here, MAX Your Community Credit Union!, stepped up to"home plate" to lend the city a hand in celebrating by sponsoringthe 34th Southern League All-Star Game at Riverwalk Stadium. TheSouthern League All-Star Game is a showcase for AA baseball'sbrightest young stars. According to Mayor Bright baseball has beenan "important part of the rich history of Montgomery" and that "itcontinues to provide a valuable source of entertainment for thecitizens of our great city." Baseball Day will also include theAll-Star Homerun Derby sponsored by Alfa Insurance, starring theSouthern League's best homerun hitters and the ultimate All-StarFan Fest hosted by Baptist Health.
