California reigns supreme when it comes to billion-dollar credit unions. Twenty-three California credit unions have over a billion dollars in assets and rank in the top 100 largest credit unions, including seven of the top 20. Following California is New York and Florida, each with eight credit unions over a billion dollars. Texas is next with seven. Here is the latest list of the 100 largest credit unions.
