WASHINGTON – Gearing up for the 2006 election season, CUNA's political affairs department has launched its 2006 Elections Action Center.
This is an entirely new section of CUNA's Web site (www.cuna.org) that provides artwork for Get Out the Vote posters and statement stuffers that credit unions can use. The theme of the posters is "If credit unions don't vote, credit unions don't count. It's time to be counted."
The site also has links to help anyone in any state register to vote and provides the proper forms for early/absentee voting ballots, as well as the dates for primary and general elections. According to CUNA, 14,000 requested early/absentee ballots during the 2003-2004 election cycle.
