DOWNEY, Calif. -Financial Partners Credit Union Human Resources Manager Kim Magee recently shared her expertise with area teachers as a panelist in the 21st Annual Banking, Accounting, Finance Advisory and Business Advisory Meeting.

Held in Montabello, the forum allows Los Angeles teachers in the field of banking, accounting, and finance to ask real world professionals questions on how they can best prepare students for a career in the financial services industry.

Magee discussed Financial Partners' mission, hiring standards and training. She also emphasized the keys to success as being strong communication skills, the ability to interact comfortably with the public, a professional appearance, computer skills and education.

Teachers also gave feedback on the credit union's internship program- shining the spotlight on Financial Partners President/CEO Nader Moghaddam's time spent meeting with each new student intern.

To wrap up the event, Magee and other credit union representatives jointly presented a grant check for $3,000 to update the Crosswalk, which translates the free Credit Union NEFE into California Teaching Standards.
