LONG BEACH, Miss. – Despite the fact that Hurricane Katrina closed Triton’s manufacturing center for three weeks and had a significant impact on many of its employees, the ATM manufacturer reported shipping 21% more ATMs to U.S. locations in 2005 than it did in 2004. According to the firm, almost 15,000 of the 20,000 ATMs that it shipped in 2005 went to U.S. firms, some financial institutions and other independent deployers. “This past year was a tremendous year for Triton. Even though 2005 brought us many challenges, with the help and dedication of our sales partners and with the resilience of our employees we were able to end the year with numerous successes, many of which exceeded our own expectations,” said Triton president Brian Kett. The ATM manufacturer, which has traditionally supplied cash-dispensing machines, has been branching out to serve smaller financial institutions as well. The firm expects 2006 sales to also be strong.
