ALEXANDRIA, Va.-Chrisanthy Loizos has been named NCUA’s director of equal opportunity programs, the agency announced last week. “Christie Loizos is a proven asset to NCUA and her experience with equal opportunity issues will bring a new dimension to this position and strengthen the agency,” NCUA Executive Director Len Skiles said. “She has an impressive resume and will provide excellent direction and policy guidance on EEO matters.” Loizos has served as acting director since January 2006. She had joined NCUA in May 1999 as an attorney advisor in the Office of General Counsel and served as an EEO counselor beginning in September 2000. In December 2005, she was named acting EEO complaints manager before becoming acting director of equal opportunity programs. Loizos worked for several years as legal counsel to the Ohio Department of Commerce in the Division of Financial Institutions and the Division of Securities before joining NCUA. She holds a J.D. from Capital University Law School and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the Ohio State University.
