CHANDLER, Ariz. – In an effort to reach out to the local community here, First Credit Union is sponsoring a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program site for this tax season. VITA offers free tax help to low- to moderate-income ($38,000 and below) people who cannot prepare their own tax returns. Volunteers sponsored by various organizations receive training to help prepare basic tax returns in communities across the country. The $465 million CU will sponsor the VITA site at its corporate branch in downtown Chandler through April 15.
