TORONTO and JAMESTOWN, N.D. – Selient announced that First Community Credit Union is the first U.S. credit union to purchase Selient-PLUS, its loan origination and cross sales application. Selient Inc. specializes in Internet-delivered lending software and has 59 CU clients, mostly in Canada. First Community will be using Selient-PLUS, a loan origination and cross sales application that allows financial institutions to complete a loan transaction with “greater speed and efficiency” and aims to increase the number of member relationships during the loan process, according to the company. The $232 million First Community CU, the largest in North Dakota, needed a lending system that could integrate seamlessly with its core data processor, XP Systems, the company said. Selient products and services in Canada include ProLender, a Web-based, loan origination system, and ProLender Business Edition, a commercial lending system and credit risk decisioning service. The company has two products targeting the U.S. market: Selient-LoanStation and Selient-PLUS.
