MADISON, Wis. – Linda Johnson, wife of CUES President/CEO Fred Johnson, died on Feb. 14 from complications of lung cancer. She battled the disease for over a year. She was one of the 10 to 15% of people who are diagnosed with lung cancer despite never smoking. Linda is survived by four sons, Rob, Pat, Andy and Jake; and two granddaughters, Samantha and Amanda. Born and raised in New Jersey, Linda also is survived by her mother Olga Plas, sisters Ann and Lisa, all of whom reside in New Jersey. Linda enjoyed traveling, interior decorating and cooking. "Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the Johnson family during this sad time," said Rose Bartolomucci, CUES chairman and president/CEO of Kent Credit Union. Johnson's first wife, Diane, also died of a form of cancer.
