INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – OneBridge, the privately held card processing firm which used to be known as AmeriCard, has helped the $20 million Touchstone FCU to bring its card portfolio processing in-house. The move will give the Wilmington, Massachusetts credit union more control over member experiences and bottom-line growth. "The number one reason for wanting our card program in-house is control," said Jim McCorkle, CEO of the credit union. "Having more control is going to mean being able to provide better member service. Things like being able to change a cash advance limit instantaneously versus having to wait 24 hours for a third party provider to do it will make a huge difference." OneBridge Gateway was designed to simplify the processes associated with managing an in-house program. "Through OneBridge, Touchstone will have immediate access to real-time transactional data," said McCorkle. "Employees will be able to log in to any computer connected to the Internet and cardholders will be able to see transactions as they occur through home banking." David Becker, OneBridge CEO, said, "We are proud to have Touchstone choose OneBridge Gateway as their card processing partner. We believe we have one of the best solutions in the industry and are confident that we will be able to assist Touchstone in achieving its strategic business objectives of increasing activation, usage, and profitability." Touchstone Federal Credit Union was founded in 1957. They previously outsourced their credit card program to Certegy.
