MIAMI – In a move to support the FBI's efforts in fighting mortgage fraud, Verification Bureau Inc., a developer of fraud detection and risk mitigation solutions, has released its "Zero Fraud Tolerance" campaign. As part of that initiative, the company will allow free use of selected fraud detection software solutions to approved lenders and mortgage brokers nationwide. All participants will be required to submit a pre-screening application to qualify for the program. Lenders who sign up will be enabled with the necessary tools to detect various items of mortgage fraud such as fraudulent tax returns, identity theft, information misrepresentation in the mortgage application, false employment and manipulated appraisals.
