BOSTON – Faced with the prospect of rising heating costs this winter, the $122 million Postal Community Credit Union held a raffle to rebate some of their homeowners' mortgage interest to help them pay their heating bills. In order to enter the raffle, the members had to have a mortgage and checking account. In the end, 25 members won $300 each to help pay their home heating bills this winter. "We felt that the members really could benefit form this opportunity to ease the added burden of the higher winter fuel costs," explained Kelly Curley, director of lending for Postal Community. "With the significant rise in home heating costs this year, it is a relief for our customers and a way for Postal Community Credit Union to say thank you for being a member, she added.
