SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Federal Credit Union (SACU) and ToyotaFederal Credit Union (Toyota FCU) have recently broken ground ontheir shared branch facility located near the site of a new ToyotaMotor Manufacturing plant being built in South Bexar County. LastMarch the two credit unions teamed up to serve the employees,vendors, suppliers and contractors at the new Toyota MotorManufacturing location. SACU and Toyota FCU will work cooperativelyin operating the location to provide full-service financialservices for their respective members. SACU will provide completefinancial products and services to current members as well as toall contractors and suppliers who work with Toyota. Toyota FCU willcontinue to provide financial services to Toyota employees, theirdependents and retirees. “SACU is very pleased to share the dynamicdevelopment of credit union service in South Bexar County withToyota Federal Credit Union,” SACU President/CEO Jeff Farver said.“Opening this shared branch will expand SACU's branch network andallow us to better serve our members. Because of our geographicalfield of membership, residents who live, work and worship in thissector will have convenient access. This is a unique opportunityfor credit unions to do what they do best – giving individualmembers what they want to meet their needs for full-servicefinancial products and services.” Toyota FCU President/CEO FrankDunst added, “Historically, credit unions have worked together forthe common good of their memberships. Our goal is simply to helppeople. Through this partnership, we will reach and benefit moreindividuals and families than otherwise possible.” Construction onthe SACU-Toyota FCU Branch is scheduled to begin early in 2006 andthe branch is scheduled to be operational by the middle of theyear.
