LATHAM, N.Y. – New York Credit Union League President/CEO William Mellon (above, right) traveled to Albany on Jan. 9 to meet with New York Gov. George Pataki and present the State of New York with a limited edition print of the state flower, a rose, on behalf of the state's 550 credit unions and their 4.1 million members. Mellin told the Governor that the original artwork – one of a 51-piece collection of state flowers created by artist Margaret Huddy – hangs in Credit Union House on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The New York State Credit Union League is the fifth largest league in the U.S. New York credit unions have more than $36 billion in assets and more than 4.1 million members.
