SAN DIEGO – Cabrillo Credit Union is doing its part to help consumers help improve the environment. The $159 million credit union is offering its more than 20,500 members an additional 0.25% rate discount on hybrid vehicle loans. “We know consumers are concerned about the high price of gasoline, as well as with conserving our resources and saving the environment,” said Cabrillo CU President/CEO Robin Lentz. “We are proud to be able to assist members in their efforts to be both economical and environmentally-conscious.” The credit union is advising members who are considering purchasing a hybrid vehicle to refer to the federal government’s fuel economy Web site – www.fueleconomy.gov – to see which vehicles are considered hybrid.
