MASSENA, N.Y. – SeaComm Federal Credit Union has hosted a bottle drive to raise money for hurricane relief efforts in the gulf coast region. Members and area residents dropped off over 40,400 returnable bottles and cans, which were converted to cash at a local redemption center. Funds were then added to those collected in canisters in the lobby for a total of $6,000. Donations were distributed to The Salvation Army for its work in Louisiana and Mississippi.
