SAN DIEGO – Symitar President Bruce Cormode resigned from Symitar this year due to health problems. Cormode first went on leave, but he determined he needed to permanently leave the company and focus on his health. Parent company Jack Henry & Associates said there would always be a place for Cormode should he want to return to the company some day. Cormode has led Symitar since co-founder Manny Prupes passed away in 2000. Cormode was replaced by Kathy Hooker, a long-time Symitar sales executive.
