CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Credit union IT chiefs seeking larger budgets in 2006 as they go before the board this fall can argue that they're not alone. Forrester Research recently surveyed IT executives at medium and large U.S. enterprises as they entered the new budgeting season and found that 53% of them will spend more on IT during 2006 than during 2005, compared with only 7% expecting to decrease their spending. The think firm also said it found that centralized IT shops and active outsourcers are more inclined to increase spending. These two graphics illustrate the Forrester findings.
