MIAMI – Pan Am Horizons Federal Credit Union has donated a total of $2,400 to the American Red Cross 2005 Hurricane Relief Fund to help those affected by recent hurricanes in the Gulf Coast. "Our employees know what it is like to suffer devastation after Hurricane Andrew. We wanted the employees to be involved as much as possible in our quest to help those in need. Our hearts go out to all those affected by the hurricanes" said Pan Am Horizons President/CEO Allan Prindle. To make it easy to give, donations were accepted at branches, on the phone, or online through a direct link to the American Red Cross and the United States Humane Society. In addition, the Pan Am Horizons FCU marketing department revised its promotions to give members the option of donating any premiums they were offered such as $50 for signing up for direct deposit to the hurricane victims. For those in the community who were impacted by Hurricane Katrina, a home equity line of credit with no closing costs was offered to help fix any damage they may have incurred during the storm.
