I just read the news last week about the sale of Credit Union Times, and while I believe former publisher Mike Welch is sadly mistaken in thinking the paper will be better, etc. as he departs, I can understand his need to move on to that third career. I have appreciated Mike's thought provoking point of view over the years, agreeing with most positions and disagreeing with some (such as his position on a Women Leadership Conference). One thing was certain though and that is when I put down the paper, I knew more about credit unions and leadership than when I had picked it up. I have appreciated his friendship and support as well over the past 25 years. I wish Mike as much success in his new career and do hope we will meet up again. Patricia E.
