DALLAS – TNB Card Services, the card processing arm of credit union owned Town North Bank, has announced it has gained another credit union card processing client. The $180 million DESCO FCU, headquartered in Portsmouth, Ohio, moved 6,100 cardholder accounts to TNB after reviewing two other card processor offers as well. "We were impressed in every way with TNB," said Fonda Warnock, credit card account administrator for DESCO FCU. "From the service orientation of their Web site to their promptness in responding, everything conveyed that they were service-friendly." Warnock added that DESCO FCU is looking forward to "greater profitability and more control of our portfolio" with TNB doing the processing. "TNB is much more service oriented, which is what we were looking for." DESCO FCU began in 1963 serving the employees of the Portsmouth Plant of Detroit Steel Company, and was community chartered in 1975. It serves counties in southern Ohio and northeastern Kentucky. The credit union has six branches in addition to its main office in Portsmouth. TNB did not announce who the former card processor had been.
