ALEXANDRIA, Va.-NCUA announced that the 50 federally insured credit unions hit by Hurricane Rita are operational. The storm temporarily closed the credit unions totaling $1.9 billion in assets, but all are now considered operational in Louisiana and Texas. Some credit unions are running from back up sites, but members should have access to their funds.
