EAST CHICAGO, Ind. – A six-foot monkey has helped create quite abuzz about Advance Financial Federal Credit Union during theMexican Independence Day parade here. According to CU execsattendees loved and welcomed AFFCU Kids' Club mascot “Moe” Monkey.The parade was the centerpiece of the weekend celebration and alsohighlighted the fact that September is National Hispanic HeritageMonth. Moe Monkey, and his friends on the Advance Financial floatwere joined in the parade by approximately 100 entries, includingfloats; decorated vehicles; musicians; and riders on horseback,motorcycles and bikes. Thousands turned out to join in the paradeand festivities that included a Mexican Kids Fest and two-dayfiesta at Block Stadium.
