SAN FRANCISCO – The 2005 CSI/FBI Computer Crime and Security Survey from the Computer Security Institute and the FBI's Computer Intrusion Squad in San Francisco finds that financial institutions spent the least per employee on IT security while state governments spent the most in the past year. The 10th-annual report, based on responses from 700 security practitioners at private and public organizations across the country, also found that more than half of the respondents had seen unauthorized use of their computer systems in the past 12 months. Here are two graphics showing those findings.
