WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The National Black Theater Festival has added a new sponsor – Truliant Federal Credit Union. As part of the deal the credit union also hosted a celebrity reception to kick off the week-long Festival activities. "We're very excited to be a part of the National Black Theatre Festival," said Truliant FCU President/CEO Marc Schaefer. "To be able to provide support for this type of outreach program that brings talent and guests from around the world helps us fulfill our goal of giving back to the communities we serve." The National Black Theatre Festival is an international outreach program of the North Carolina Black Repertory Company. The event is produced to help sustain global Black theatre. The Festival attracts thousands of guests to Winston-Salem and has an economic impact estimated to be in the millions. According to Truliant Marketing Analyst Lisa Werlick, this sponsorship is part of the credit union's commitment to giving back to the communities it serves. "We try to look for diverse sponsorship opportunities that will also build recognition and exposure in the communities we serve," said Werlick. "This was not only a great cultural event but it helped us reach out and connect within our community."
